May-Trading-Competition

May Trading competition

CleanCarbon is thrilled to announce our first trading contest starting tonight at midnight (UTC). This month-long competition will run throughout May, with the winners announced shortly after the month concludes.

Overall Rules

We have allocated a prize pool of $1000 for twelve lucky winners across two categories:

1. Largest Profit Generated:

This category is dedicated to trading the CARBO/USDT pair on PancakeSwap and comprises 68% of the total prize pool. The eight traders who generate the most profit this May will receive the following prize distribution:

  • 1st place – 22% of the prize pool
  • 2nd place – 15% of the prize pool
  • 3rd place – 10% of the prize pool
  • 4th place – 7% of the prize pool
  • 5th place – 5% of the prize pool
  • 6th place – 4% of the prize pool
  • 7th place – 3% of the prize pool
  • 8th place – 2% of the prize pool

Both buy and sell transactions count, and profits are calculated in USDT. To qualify, CARBO must be sold before the end of May. Only trades initiated and completed within May are eligible.

2. Largest Trading Volume:

The remaining 32% of the prize pool goes to the four traders who achieve the largest combined buy and sell volumes. The prizes are distributed as follows:

  • 1st place – 15% of the prize pool
  • 2nd place – 10% of the prize pool
  • 3rd place – 5% of the prize pool
  • 4th place – 2% of the prize pool

Every 24 hours, only the largest transaction, whether buy or sell, will be counted. This rule helps prevent artificial inflation of trading volume, which could negatively affect our charts and impact CARBO token listings on various platforms.

Adding Carbo Score

The prize distribution mentioned is only the base value. The final rewards will be adjusted by the Carbo Score of each winner. This adjustment could result in a scenario where the winner might receive less than the runner-up if their Carbo Score significantly differs.

Here’s a simplified example to illustrate how the calculations work:

Assume the prize pool is $1000 with the following base distribution:

  • 1st place: $500 (the user has Carbo Score of 2.8)
  • 2nd place: $300 (the user has Carbo Score of 7.1)
  • 3rd place: $200 (the user has Carbo Score of 0.5)

Carbo Score Sum to determine individual prize shares is 10.4 and the final distribution, considering the Carbo Scores, would be:

  • 1st place share: 1000 x 5/10 x 2.8/10.4 = 134.62
  • 2nd place share: 1000 x 3/10 x 7.1/10.4 = 204.80
  • 3rd place share: 1000 x 2/10 x 0.5/10.4 = 9.62

The sum of all shares is equal to: 349.04, which means the individual prizes from the pool of 1000$ adjusted for Carbo Score would look as follows:

  • 1st place: 385,7$
  • 2nd place: 586.7$
  • 3rd place: 27.6$

The example above illustrates the importance of Carbo Score, which will always act as a multiplier in various events. The values of Carbo Scores will be taken at the end of the contest (midnight UTC, May 31, 2024).

We are excited to kick off this competition as part of our regular trading events and are very open to your feedback to improve the system in the coming months!
