FAQ
We have not abandoned the physical installations. A significant amount of money has been paid to the investor and UHTG distributor, Coinvolta. We have secured contracts that will finance multiple installations simultaneously and allow us to recoup all the money we've invested so far.
However, Coinvolta is currently experiencing delays due to issues with their investors and contractors. We have been reassured, both verbally and through written contracts, that CleanCarbon is a priority for contract execution as soon as these delays are resolved. Once that happens, CleanCarbon will commence building the first pilot project. For now, our best strategy is to wait.
The decision to update the CARBO token was driven by several factors:
Additional functionality: The original token lacked features that we believe will benefit holders, such as a staking mechanism, automated airdrops, contests, DAO functionality, and Carbo Score.
The original token had undesirable features, such as built-in reflections, the ability to change the values of these reflections, and some potential centralization issues. These issues were negatively impacting our ratings on platforms like CoinGecko and CoinMarketCap. We decided the best course of action was to address these by creating a new, improved token.
The price charts for CARBO v1 were unappealing, and while they don't fully represent the token's value given the substantial amount of CARBO tokens distributed as airdrops they deterred potential new investors. The new token addresses this issue.
Over the last two years, many community members have left our project, leading to a significant decrease in activity in some CleanCarbon groups. Eventually, it became clear that continuing to support these groups was not beneficial and distracted our team from focusing on areas that could meaningfully impact the project.
Despite financial challenges, the project will continue to support our users with various token rewards, such as staking rewards, airdrops, and contests. Our goal is to ensure that those who remain with us do not lose money on the CARBO token, even in the face of ongoing delays with installations. We are committed to making this outcome possible and are dedicated to ensuring it happens.
Yes, in addition to the new features introduced by the CARBO v2 token, we are also developing additional physical utilities to give our token more practical applications. We plan to introduce at least one new utility every quarter, alongside our installation plans. Our focus is on identifying new utilities that can be implemented quickly and have an immediate positive impact on our community.
No, our initial plan remains unchanged. The installations will support the token as outlined in our Whitepaper. All additional utilities are being developed as bonuses and are independent of the physical installations.
While we cannot offer any guarantees, the new v2 token includes several mechanisms designed to help recover the price and protect our community's investment. These mechanisms include regular monthly buybacks, attractive staking rewards to reduce liquidity circulation, new physical utilities to enhance token usability, engaging contests and airdrops (primarily in stablecoins) to attract new users, and innovative marketing strategies through collaborations with like-minded companies.
If or when our contracts with Coinvolta are fulfilled, there will be a significant financial influx into the CleanCarbon token, aiding in price recovery and directly rewarding our community.
The old token can be exchanged on a 1:1 basis for the new one. This swap process will burn the old token and issue the new one. We urge everyone to swap as soon as possible, as the old token will no longer be supported following the launch of CARBO v2.
All liquidity, including both stablecoin and the token, will be transferred to the new CARBO v2 pair, CARBO/USDT. We have decided to continue using the Binance Smart Chain (BSC) network, but changed BUSD into USDT, due to potential lack of support of BUSD stablecoin in the near future. Despite previous issues, Binance as a company remains a leading crypto exchange globally and is currently in a strong position.
